between them. If no Structured Description is available then the TROPOS Item Description will be

output.

4) The new initialisation flag SHIPPING has been included especially for the extract to GTA. This

flag is set in the same way as CUSTPROCCDE. This flag informs the TROPOS Export Link which

TROPOS Extra Data fields should be used to pass to the Shipping Marks 1 to 10. The first four

characters should be set to the TROPOS transaction to take the Extra Data from. The valid

transactions are SOAD (Sales Order Header Add), CUAD (Customer Code Add), SIAD (Sales

Order Line Add), CPDA (Customer/Product Data Add), IADD (Item Data Add), and PDMT

(Product Data Maintain). The fifth and sixth characters should be the number of the Extra Data

field.

For example SHIPPING=SOAD10,SOAD,11,SOAD12,SOAD13,SOAD14,SOAD15 will set the

first six shipping marks to be the tenth to fifteenth Extra Data field values from the first associated

sales order on the document. The CUAD Extra Data prompts set up on DEED should have an

Account Type of C (Customer).

Manual Set-Up Procedures

The new initialisation flag values will not be automatically set up when installing this enhancement.

The TROPOS Export Link must be shut down in order to incorporate any changes to the

initialisation file.

The initialisation file is called ssi2741a.ini and is normally held in the PC’s base windows directory

with all of the other ‘.ini’ files. Normally it can be accessed by pressing <START><RUN> then

type ssi2741a.ini.

4.2.5.4 TROPOS Export Link Conversion to GTA (SR4355)

TROPOS Export Link has been amended to interface to the Global Trade Administrator (GTA)

Export Documentation product. This is in addition to the interface to SPEX and the CSV type

output.

The initialisation flag ‘FORMAT’ has been introduced to switch between the output file formats.

Values are ‘S’ for SPEX, ‘G’ for GTA, and ‘C’ for the CSV type format.

The help text has been extensively revised. The section containing the initialisation flags has been

amended to place the flags in a logical sequence and it now explains which flags are applicable to

which output file format. The full output file layout for the GTA extract has been added.

Manual Set-Up Procedures

After installing this latest version of the TROPOS Export Link please check the settings of the

initialisation file (ssi2741a.ini) are correct.

If you wish to extract to GTA please make sure that ‘FORMAT=G’ is set, and ‘OUTPUT=’ is set to

the directory you wish the output file to be written to. If you are using the GTA Continuous

Download utility then this should be set to the ‘IMPORT’ directory under which GTA has been

installed. For example on a single PC installation this would probably be C:\GTA\IMPORT.

Please check the help file as it has been extensively modified.
