subcontracted work, easing the planning task by automatically including subcontract activities,

times and costs. Purchase and transfer orders are automatically raised reducing the amount of

manual effort needed in managing the subcontracting process.

Optimising Lorry Loads and Despatch Routes

New facilities are provided for those businesses that manage their own lorry loading and despatch

route planning. Lorry loads (shipments) can be built interactively from those sales order lines

available to ship. Due dates, priorities, weight and capacity details are all displayed giving the user

full control while building loads, and validation is provided back to the haulier and vehicle number

for checking allowable capacity. To improve despatch planning, delivery routes can now be

defined and linked to customer delivery addresses via a drop sequence. A customer may be on

more than one route and the best delivery route for a shipment can be chosen considering delivery

promise date.

No Compromise Solutions with the TROPOS Application Designer

The TROPOS philosophy of providing a fully functional package together with the ability to

complement your solution with custom interfaces and applications, which exactly match your

business, is extended with the introduction of the TROPOS Application Designer. Based on the

openness of the TROPOS technical architecture, the Application Designer builds on what has been

possible with the TROPOS 'SDK' for PC applications. It enables the creation of browser interfaces

built using the TROPOS transaction objects, providing a GUI development environment with drag

‘n’ drop design capability for the user. With full webpage editing and the ability to combine

TROPOS transactions together, both synchronously and asynchronously, it can create simple shop

floor interfaces through to fully functional interfaces for the 'knowledge' user. It comes with an

integrated SQL enquiry builder and wizard which can be used to create custom web enquiries and

drill downs, based on the TROPOS database views, as an integral part of your application. The

TROPOS Application Designer has been developed using Microsoft tools and fully complements

the Microsoft Visual Studio development environment.

TROPOS Archiving Solutions

Too often the implementation of archiving solutions compromises the access you have to historical

data. Utilising database archiving technology from BitByBit, SSI can now provide managed

TROPOS archiving solutions which give you the operational advantage of removing historical data

from your live system, and retain the ability to consistently view all data from a single entry point -

across live and archived data.

access to all enhancements to the modules you purchased.
