Please note that if a reservation reference is associated with a production order, then extraction will
occur at order addition, regardless of the value of the new ‘Order Status’ parameter.
Ability to define the min/max time gap allowed between S-Plan scheduled operation stages
For greater control over the scheduling of stages by S-Plan, when the time gap allowed between
stages is critical, existing TROPOS process stage offsets are now extracted with the process details.
Within TROPOS, these offsets are defined for a process via PSLK (Process Stage Linkages) and
can be enquired upon via PSLQ (Process Stage Link Enquiry) and PROP (Process Options). The
offsets relate to a pair of stages, the ‘From’ stage and the ‘To’ stage. For example a 2 hour
Maximum Offset from stage 10 to stage 20 results in stage 20 starting no later than 2 hours after the
completion of stage 10.
Within S-Plan they are defined as ‘Curing Time’ held against the ‘From’ stage. Using the same
example, stage 10 would have a Maximum Curing Time of 2 hours.
Any processes already extracted from TROPOS that have Min and Max Offsets will need to be re-
extracted to enable the offset details to be passed to S-Plan.
New TROPOS enquiry to highlight changeover routines created by S-Plan.
SPCQ (S-Plan Changeover Enquiry) is a new enquiry to highlight production order stages that have
been scheduled by S-Plan to include changeover activity.
When a changeover activity is identified by S-Plan, the set up time of the production order stage
following that changeover activity is increased by the duration of the changeover.
SPCQ is a scrolling enquiry that shows details of all S-Plan interface production orders which are
due to be performed upon a resource. The details are obtained from the S-Plan interface table,
which may not reflect the current status of the orders if the latest S-Plan update has not been
transferred to TROPOS.
If the stage time on an order has been increased by S-Plan to take account of a changeover activity,
this is shown on SPCQ as Changeover Time. This is the difference between the planned set up time
for a stage and its actual set up time.
4.2.8.3 Purge S-Plan Messages (SR3985)
A new transaction has been provided to allow the table of messages written for the TROPOS to S-
Plan interface to be purged, i.e. to delete successfully processed messages to allow the table size to
be more manageable.
A new transaction SPMD (Purge S-Plan Messages) has been provided to purge down the TROPOS
to S-Plan message table. The size of this table can affect the processing time of the GDS Server and
this transaction can therefore be used to improve the processing time for outstanding messages. The
transaction will allow the input of a retention period in days to allow messages to still be viewed
upon SPMQ (S-Plan Message Enquiry) transaction. All processed messages which are older than
this retention period will be deleted by this new transaction.
If the message was written by SPEN (Enquiry Details) transaction then the processed message will
only be deleted if the associated enquiry has been confirmed via the SPCN (Confirm Enquiry)
transaction.
